The Kennels House, Cromarty

The Kennel House, Cromarty - Dining RoomThis Georgian village house situated in Cromarty, 22 miles from Inverness, has been restored by the present owners to provide an exceptionally attractive and comfortable self-catering holiday home. Careful restoration has resulted in the house retaining many of its original features.

Limestone floors, warmed by underfloor heating, and two wood burning stoves ensure that the accommodation is cosy and warm enough for year-round letting. The house sleeps 10 in total making it ideal for a large group or two families wanting a self catering holiday together.

The Kennel House and Cromarty from the airThe house is on the fringe of the village making it private but within a short walking distance of all the village facilities. There are two hotels, a café, bakery, grocery store, bookshop, two museums and a bowling green. Cromarty also has an excellent restaurant called ‘Sutors Creek’ which has an amazing, traditional, wood fired oven and serves pizzas and a specials menu throughout most days and evenings. It is very popular so be sure to book in advance.

Behind the house, the large grassy garden overlooks the Cromarty Firth and the North and South Sutors, two headlands between which dolphins are frequently seen. The shingle beach and coastline walks with magnificent views and varied bird and wildlife are all close to the house.
